Are you having breathing problems, dizziness, sweating?. Are you familiar with these symptoms? Those are the symptoms of an anxiety panic attack. Anxiety attack symptoms can be very terrible for the person suffering from panic attacks.

The anxiety panic attack symptoms are nothing new and it is believed that they have affected as many as 20 million people in the USA, that is one in every 14 people! Such anxiety panic attack symptoms could include sweating, dizziness, trembling, tingling sensations, a feeling of being choked.

Treating panic attacks can be as simple as having a good diet, relaxation and/or a regular exercise. Eating properly and nourishing your body the nutrients it needs is an important step to equipping your organs and blood with the enzymes it needs to perform its job. Taking the time to enjoy yourself is one of the best anxiety attack treatments for you.

Attacking Your Panic Attack Symptoms With Therapy And Medication

There are therapies available that help you to control anxiety panic attack symptoms. There is a therapy called cognitive behavioral therapy that is often used to help panic attack disorder patients to relieve their symptoms. This therapy involves changing the way the patient perceives or thinks certain things. By changing the way you perceive certain things, those particular things can become less intimidating and help with the tendency to inflate a situation to a level not manageable. This anxiety disorder treatment is usually used for sufferers.

The goal of cognitive behavioral therapy is to determine the cause of the panic attack. If the person gets anxious when being in a place with lots of people this therapy will help him understand why and get over theses destructive thoughts by focusing on good feelings. Our actions follow the thinking process and by changing our thoughts, we can alter our behavior. The behavioral aspect of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a must for people seeking help for anxiety. The therapist will help the person alter his behavior slowly, by teaching him relaxation techniques, breathing exercises and the desensitization process. Sufferers who need help for anxiety due to paranoia will gradually be taken through several stimulated experiences, where gradually the fear of people will be overcome.

Medication is another cure for panic attacks. There are several groups of drugs available for treatment of panic attacks Todays panic attack medication is very effective in treating anxiety disorders. Your doctor will tell you which medication you should take. Remember that it normally takes several weeks for the medication to have any effect. There is a number of various and effective medications are available. These are "Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors", "Benzodiazepines", "Azapirones", "Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors", "Tricyclic Antidepressants".

The most often prescribed type of these drugs to anxiety panic attack patients is the benzodiazepine drug type where "Alprazolam" is the most prescribed of that particular type of drug. However, the benzodiazepine is a medication drug class that claims it solves anxiety symptoms in 70-80 percent of the users. One problem with this is that the pamphlet that is included with the drug informs that benzodiazepine can actually CAUSE anxiety!

Beta blockers are the best medication class to control anxiety attack symptoms and are normaly prescribed to prevent rapid heartbeat, trembling and shaking related symptoms. The beta blockers also have fewer side effects than any other forms of medication, but they can cause insomnia and other sleep-related issues like nightmares. In the case of panic attacks, as the beta blockers does not actually cure the anxiety panic attack, most health care professionals do not prescribe them.

Anxiety Attack Therapy And Medication Working Together

Behavioral therapy can often be used in combination for anxiety panic attack treatment. When the patient changes the way they view and perceive certain things, the behavioral therapy is successful. If medication is prescribed to the patient, it can take weeks to fully work. Medications as an anxiety panic attack treatment help regulate different chemicals that the body needs. The patient can effectively battle their anxiety attacks by combining the two treatments.
