Anxiety Attacks And Symptoms - What Are Anxiety Attacks And What Are The Symptoms?

Published at 12:10 am under Anxiety Center

Anxiety Attacks are probably the most extreme form of a reaction a person will have when they are feeling extremely anxious. Certainly and person suffering from anxiety attacks will find that their anxiety has reached such a level that the symptoms cause them to experience other symptoms which will exceed what one would normally expect to experience during an anxiety reaction. It is during this time when a person will then suffer from an anxiety attack. In this article we will take a look at anxiety attacks and symptoms.

It is normal to feel anxious when there is a threat that is present and perceived to be real. In many cases the adrenalin in our bodies will be used up in order to help either flee or fight the threat that we are facing. However if the adrenalin is not used up during a reaction to an anxious situation because there is no real threat present then this will cause the body to experience and maintain a higher level of the symptoms we feel when we are anxious. What this then causes is a person to have an anxiety attack.

The main symptoms which relate to an anxiety attack are as follows:-

1. A person will feel breathless
2. The heart begins to race
3. A person starts to shake
4. They start to feel dizzy
5. They begin to have problems with their stomach
6. Their vision will become blurred
7. They have the sensation of pin and needles in their limbs
8. They will find it difficult to swallow
9. They may experience some pains in their chest

Plus there are many other symptoms which are not shown above and which can be related to anxiety attacks. Usually a person suffering from an anxiety attack will have strange or depressing thoughts and feel that everything is lost (despair).

An anxiety attacks and the symptoms that they are feeling are not actually a response to an actual threat but rather they make the person feel as if they are being threatened. In most cases sufferers will interpret anxiety attacks and symptoms that they feel as if they were responding to a real threat. So because they are giving credibility to their symptoms they will find that more fear is created and this then produces more symptoms and so they end up in a vicious anxiety cycle. So it is important that anyone who is suffering from extreme anxiety should make an appointment to see their doctor to find out if there are any underlying causes for their feelings.
