Anxiety Disorder: The High Adrenalin Pump
Anxiety disorder is a very umbrella term which covers under itself a large number of disorders that ultimately lead to anxiety and disorders in the human system arising from it. Anxiety is basically a combination of many complex emotions that causes the heart to race faster than time. It includes fear, feeling of uncertainty, trauma and is also reflected in the physical activity of the body as the person suffering from anxiety may notice short breaths, faster heart beats , perspiration and nausea. Anxiety has equal effect on both the physical and mental state of mind. Physically it causes the blood pressure to shoot up accompanied by dizziness and sometimes even numbness and emotionally it causes a lot of stress and trauma to the person suffering from anxiety. It affects the complete nervous system of the body and can lead to a lot of complexities to the organs and various functions of the body. Anxiety is not always negative as it is very important for the survival system, for example we feel anxious when we anticipate something unknown or when there extreme happiness or sadness or when we face some danger or when we have some kind of fear of an unknown situation. Under these conditions the feeling of anxiety is perfectly justified as it is the natural system of the human body and should be just taken as an opposite reaction to an action.
Reasons for the disorder of anxiety
Anxiety disorder arises out of many reasons the foremost being a particular fear or the combination of fears or even some kind of phobia. People who suffer from phobia have high chances of suffering from anxiety disorder. With fear there comes some kind of physical or emotional or psychological threat which leads to anxiety. When the anxiety is beyond control it often leads to an anxiety attack. When such anxiety attacks are repetitive it leads to what we are discussing, anxiety disorder. Anxiety disorder can result due to physical sickness or some mental trouble. It can also be fuelled by consumption of liquor or drug abuse or consumption of highly addictive substances. When a person undergoes a major disease, it weakens his physical and mental system and may have hallucinations which may in turn result in anxiety and slowly lead to a disorder. Sometimes even the day to day problems lead to such a disorder. Family tensions, work pressure, financial matter and a lot more goes on in the mind along with work in the daily life , it undoubtedly leads to a lot of stress and anxiety. If such a routine persists for day in and day out it is even difficult to face another twenty four hours or so of the same torture. Such circumstances too lead to anxiety disorder when a person dreads to face the next morning again.
Treatment
Anxiety disorder should be treated at very early stages or it may lead to chronicle condition. There are about forty million people in America itself who suffer from this disorder, so one can imagine what the figure will be like when we look at the whole world. Anxiety disorder is not a condition which cannot be treated. People with this disorder can live absolute healthy and normal lives with proper medication and therapies. A lot of new researches are being carried on in this area to develop new methods and therapies to overcome this disorder and make the people suffering form it free of the pain and suffering. The drugs used to treat this include Benzodiazepines, anti depressants of the main types and even Quetiapine. Cognitive therapy is also used under the guidance of a proper counselor to cure this disorder.
Conclusion
With medication, good counseling, therapies one can overcome this disorder. More than all this, what would be a major ingredient to successful recovering is the love and concern of the near and dear ones, a lot of their support and also a heart and mind willing to be free form the grip of such a disease. After all where there is a will there is a way and nothing in life is impossible to achieve.
