Know The Facts Before Purchasing Bridesmaids Jewelry
Bridal attire and accessories account for 10% the cost of the average wedding. Making the right choices for the wedding is important for any bride. There is a lot to consider when choosing appropriate bridal jewelry to coordinate with your wedding gown. However, there is even more to consider when selecting appropriate bridesmaids jewelry. It is important to know all of the facts about your bridesmaids needs as it relates to wearing jewelry. For example, some individuals are allergic to certain types of metals. Determine whether or not any of your bridesmaids suffer from metallic allergies. If this is the case, then plan accordingly when shopping for their jewelry.
If you plan on purchasing earrings for your bridesmaids, it is important to know if all of your bridesmaids have pierced ears. If any of your bridesmaids do not have their ears pierced, then you will need to purchase clip on earrings. Keep in mind that there is not a wide selection of clip on earrings in the bridesmaids jewelry department. You may consider purchasing a pierced pair and then having the pair converted to clip on earrings.
Although you may plan for all of your bridesmaids to wear bridal jewelry, some women prefer not to wear jewelry at all. In this case, bridesmaids jewelry would not be an appropriate gift for this person. Even if her decision goes against the grain, do not force the issue. Her choice may stem from a religious belief. She may or may not choose to elaborate on the subject. As such, you will need to purchase an alternative bridesmaids gift. When presenting your bridesmaids with their gifts, be sure not to single her out.
If you plan on getting married in a church sanctuary, be sure to do your research first. Some churches have really strict rules in terms of apparel and jewelry. Knowing what type of jewelry that is not allowed will help guide you as you shop for your bridesmaids jewelry. It would be disappointing to purchase a bridesmaids gift that your bridesmaids will be banned from wearing on your wedding day.
Wait to purchase your accessories until after you have decided on the dresses. It is important to coordinate your bridesmaids jewelry with the style of their dress. Accessories that do not coordinate well, will in fact take away from the overall appearance of the dress. There are several factors to consider when purchasing bridal jewelry. The task should not be taken likely.
