Vitamins and Anti-Aging Properties
It is a very alarming fact that the great majority of the modern population has a poor diet lacking the most essential nutrients. This relates directly to one of the most important things in our lives, the aging process. Our choice of regular diet is as important as getting enough exercise. Slowing it down by feeling and looking younger is more within our means than most think.
Elevate certain vitamin levels as you age. With the passing of time, our bodies turn out to be less effective in extracting the necessary nutrients form our meals and also less efficient in processing them properly. Sun screening, for example, helps produce vitamin D, essential in preventing diseases like osteoporosis. As our body grows in age, they only produce a small percent of what it used to. As a result, we should gradually increase the vitamin intake as we grow older. Taking vitamin and mineral supplements is a more convenient way of providing the body with the necessary level of nutrients. Supplementing vitamins and minerals in your diet is in no way a substitute for a healthy complete nutrition but it will significantly help increasing lifespan and prevent severe illnesses.
Vitamin A helps fight heart disease increasing the level of beta-carotene. We take beta-carotene from fresh vegetables like carrots or spinach.
Vitamin C is considered by many to increase longevity. It cannot be produced by our body but luckily it is abundantly found in common fruits and vegetables. An increased level of vitamin C will immunize the body against diseases like clogged arteries, cancer, or high blood pressure.
Vitamin E is an essential strong antioxidant that delays aging and fights cancer and arteriosclerosis. Vitamin extracted from plain meals is usually not sufficient and should be augmented with vitamin supplements.
Every vitamin needed in our body plays an essential part and none of them should be disregarded. Their deficiency or level balance will have immediate results.
